When you think of Tiffin University Intramurals and their advertising for the upcoming activities and events, the most common and popular form of marketing that you see is through email. Here at Tiffin University email is one of the easiest ways to contact or share information with the entire campus or a large number of people on and off campus. The fact that this reaches students off campus is a major attribute to this advertising system for otherwise, most of them would not know anything about intramurals and what is going on. The next form of advertising is word of mouth. The TU intramurals committee expects that the word about different events and activities will spread around campus from conversation with participants and potential participants. This would be a great way to advertise if more students did one thing and that is open and read their emails. A great number of students here at Tiffin do not check their email accounts or if they do, it usually not that often. This makes it difficult for them to know what is going on since they do not regularly check their email for information. I propose that the Tiffin University Intramurals program finds a more effective way to get the word out to the student body. Email and word of mouth would be great on top of possibly posting flyers and posters in the Gillmor, leaflets in the cafeteria, announcements in major meetings such as student government, and promotions to get more people in the door. Simply by creating posters or flyers for Gillmor, the classroom building and the dorms will raise awareness of the events upcoming. The posters and flyers that have been used in previous times have not been effective due to the location that the board has been located. I would focus on central location. When creating a business, the major aspect to consider is location, location, location!
My name is Bryon Toran. I am from Cincinnati, Oh. I am currently a senior at Tiffin University. I am majoring in Sports & Recreation Management. I am a memeber of the Tiffin Track & Field team. I also am a Resident Assistant and am involved in many things on campus. I'm a pretty laid back guy who is easy to get along with.
